Using the ancient, Spanish lace-knitting pattern, Madeira Mesh, seems so appropriate when shown so beautifully in "Qiviut" yarn, made from the undercoat of the prehistoric muskox. Lacework specialist Shirley MacNulty chose this lace design also because it's light, airy & reversible! The added benefit? You can make a 1-ounce, 1-color version as described in the pattern or a 2-ounce, 2-color alternative as shown in the photograph.
