When Paula Rimoli designed these octopi, it was soon after her second child was born. She figured with a newborn and a three-year-old, she would actually need eight arms to be able to keep up with hugs and housework! This mom and baby set will be perfect for you and your child to enjoy as well, especially when you're catching the waves together at the beach this summer! The mommy is about 3" (7.5cm) when sitting, the baby is about 2.75" (5.75cm). The number of toys you can make from one (100g) skein of worsted-weight yarn varies, depending on how tightly you crochet. She usually gets two to three sets of the larger toys, and many of the smaller toys from just one skein of the main color. Although no specific yarn was suggested, we recommend using Berroco's "Comfort" yarn, an economical, machine-washable yarn that's available in a large selection of colors. PLEASE NOTE: Pre-selected color choices may not match the photo because a color may be temporarily out of stock or discontinued by the manufacturer. PURCHASE SEPARATELY: 9mm plastic eyes with safety backings, small pieces of red and pink craft felt, sewing thread and needle, black embroidery floss, fiberfill or stuffing
