Rosebuds and Climbing Roses Stole
To represent roses climbing up a trellis, designer Carol Rasmussen Noble has created this traditional stole using two Shetland patterns -- the Rosebud and the Trellis Diamond. The stole has the rosebuds in the long center section and the diamonds at each end of the rectangle along with knitted on scalloped borders. This project introduces the new lace knitter to a traditional Shetland garment using the laceweight yarn "Merino Lace" from Cherry Tree Hill. Approximately 13" wide by 56" long after blocking.
The "Rosebuds and Climbing Roses" stole is one of 13 remarkable patterns featured in the new book by Carol and Cherry Tree Hill founder Cheryl Potter. Check out their new book: Lavish Lace
