This loopy scarf is so much fun to make that you're sure to want to make it in different colors for different outfits, or as gifts for friends and family. The big loops are merely strands of yarn extended out from the simple single crochet stitches that are worked back and forth in short rows. They are quick to work and you'll pick up the technique in no time at all. Three balls of Rowan's superthick "Big Wool" yarn are needed to make a 3.5" (9cm) wide x 55" (138cm) long scarf. Although the white/gray color in this picture is no longer available, there are several multi-colors from which to choose and plenty of solids.
