In true yoga fashion, Sharon O'Brien combines elements of calm (Van gogh "stars" on a "sky" of cool, deep teal) with energy (warm vibrant stripes) in this bag designed to carry a yoga mat. She worked the square base in garter stitch at a tight gauge, then picked up stitches around the base, and worked the body in stockinette stitch to the top. She added false seam stitches at the corners and eyelets for a drawstring at the top. To reinforce the drawstring eyelets, Sharon sewed crocheted circles around each hole. Since it's made with Tahki's soft and machine washable "Cotton Classic" yarn, you'll be able to clean it up easily when gets dirty from toting it back and forth! PLEASE NOTE: Pre-selected color choices may not match the photo because a color may be temporarily out of stock or discontinued by the manufacturer. Quantities in the shopping list are for a tote that measures 26.5" around and 27" long. PURCHASE SEPARATELY:DMC 6-strand embroidery floss in #209 lilac, #472 celery, #920 burnt orange, and #3846 aqua, a size 22 tapestry needles for embroidery, tracing paper, and straight pins.
