Yarn quantity in the "Shopping List" for the helmet versions in sizes up to 12 months (head circumference 14.5" to 16.5"). For any of the helmets in sizes 1 to 6 years (19" to 21.75"), buy 2 balls. For the plain pixie hat, buy 1 ball for any size up to 6 years (21.75"). For the striped pixie hat, get 1 ball of each the main color and the contrast color for any size up to 6 years (21.75"). Purchase the button separately. PLEASE NOTE: In most cases the yarn colors selected for the "Shopping List" are identical to the pattern. However, color choices for this pattern can change due to yarn availability. Select the "View Colors" button to see the entire color palette.
